1800 Series Gastight Syringes. Hamilton

The extended metal handle on the 1800 Series Gastight Syringe improves the balance and handling characteristics; allows use in applications when sampling from test tubes or long-necked flasks; gives finer control of plunger movement and prevents plunger blow-out under high pressures with its adjustable plunger resistance (drag); reduces plunger bending and acts as a guide for the fragile plunger with its strengthened plunger stem. The precision-machined PTFE plunger tip creates a leak-free seal. Recommended for use with gas or liquid samples. The 1800 Series GASTIGHT allows replacement of individual parts---the barrel, plunger, or plunger tip---as necessary. A chaney adapter is available as an add-on item to maximize the reproducibility of repetitive identical volumes. Maximum temperature for Cemented Needle is 50°C (122°F) and Removable Needle, 115°C (239°F). Maximum pressure rating is 1000 psig for all volumes except for 250¬µL which is 500 psig. These Hamilton syringes can be ordered with a Certificate of Calibration. The Certificate of Calibration will be provided with the product and the procedure is performed with an unbroken chain of calibrations traceable to N.I.S.T. Please request at time of purchase.
