50 mL Digestion Vessel
Manufacturer: Moldpro, Inc.
Digestion vessels (both MP-108 and MP-115) are certified to class A volume accuracy, include a metals background report and are compatible with leading brand graphite block digestion systems.
• Made from virgin polypropylene (PP) • Excellent visibility • Very good resistance to acids • Graduated to 50 mL, each shipment comes with a certificate of volume accuracy stating the tubes meet Class A tolerance • Extremely low leachable metal content; each shipment comes with a metals background report • Fit leading brand graphite digestion block systems • Screw caps are available in blue, white, grey and natural • We also offer reflux caps (MP-112) and ribbed watch glasses (MP-121)
The MP-108 is made from polypropylene random copolymer (PP-CO) making it clearer with superior impact strength and is ideally suited for ICP-OES applications. The MP- 115 is made from a polypropylene homopolymer (PP-H) which has lower impact strength but will withstand higher temperature. Most important to many of our customers - the material used to make the MP-115 has very low background metals levels a making it a better choice for ICP-MS applications. Many digestions require a temp of 95c however some labs set the block temps higher. At ~105c + the MP-108 has some surface softening and cloudiness. While this does not affect tube integrity it may impact graduation legibility. Our MP-115 was developed in part as a response to this issue/concern and will withstand temperatures of 130c with no impact on graduation legibility.
Our 50 mL vessel products fit the following digestion blocks systems:
• EE HotBlock • SCP Science Digi Block • LabTech DigiBlock • Questron Qblock • Seal Analytical/Thomas Cain SmartBlock II • Seal Analytical/Thomas Cain Deena II
Both MP-108 and MP-115 can be used with Environmental Express FilterMate accessory. Nether will work with Environmental Express FlipMate or SCP Science DigiFILTER accessories due to differences in cap tread. MP-112 reflux cap is equivalent to Environmental Express SC506. MP-121 ribbed watch glass is equivalent to Environmental Express SC505 and SCP Science 010-500-081.
