KIMAX® Gasoline Unsaturation Bottle
Manufacturer: Kimble Chase
KIMAX bottle used in the determination of unsaturated hydrocarbons in gasoline. Body of the bottle (approximately 45 mL capacity) is a "reaction vessel" whereby an accurately measured sample is pipetted into the bottle; excess reagent is added and after the reaction is complete, more reagent is added to raise the "fat column" into the calibrated neck of the bottle where results are read directly as a percentage of fat in the sample.
