As Director of Marketing, Lizz Larsen is responsible for all aspects of marketing at Thermal Scientific. From digital and social channels to collateral, events, internal comms and more, Lizz puts her stamp of quality and integrity on all things advertising at Thermal.
Affectionately dubbed “Popcorn Lady” for her ability to quickly come up with unconventional yet effective ideas, Lizz’s positive attitude, talent and drive has helped shape the face of Thermal Scientific both internally and externally.

Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, Lizz was bribed to move to Texas at an early age on the promise of her own horse and dog. She attended TCU as a night student, courtesy of her paralegal job with a local petroleum company.
Lizz’s 25 years in marketing began with a family-owned swimming pool construction company, where she set up lead tracking systems, customer referral programs and handled all the advertising and media placement.
Fifteen years later, she moved into a VP of Marketing role for a financial institution with 10 locations. When the bank was sold to Northstar in 2014, Lizz was asked to stay on as Vice President of Sales and Service, increasing the branches under her purview to 27.
After Northstar, Lizz became a freelance marketer, managing advertising, PR and events for many businesses, including Casa Manana. An event person at heart, Lizz produced a series of events for Casa Manana’s show Spamalot. Her signature event featured a live SPAM cookoff using 700 lbs. of donated SPAM cooked by high profile local chefs on the theater steps the night Spamalot opened.
When she’s not popcorning fresh ideas, Lizz loves sports, live music and camping with her husband, Kevin, and their large group of children. She also writes for several step-parenting blogs, with a goal of replacing ‘step’ with the word ‘bonus’ all over the world.
