As Co-Owner and Co-CEO at Thermal Scientific, Coby Wishert focuses on Thermal Scientific’s strategy, vision, mission, core values, culture and voice. He also serves as General Counsel, overseeing all legal and risk management matters for the company.
Working alongside his brother, Chad Wishert, Coby sets the organization’s big picture goals and follows through with hands-on leadership to help the Thermal Scientific team achieve both near and long-term objectives.

Born in Odessa, Texas, Coby received his B.A. in public relations from Texas Tech University. After studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico, he worked as a publicist in New York City for two years at one of the city’s top public relations firms.
Never one to pause his own personal development, Coby determined that a career change was in order, earning a Juris Doctor Degree from Rutgers Law School. After serving as a judicial law clerk, Coby joined a prominent NYC-based civil defense law firm, where he gained invaluable training and experience litigating complex business-to-business lawsuits.
After six years of litigation, Coby began looking for a career that would afford him more time to spend with his family. He spent two years as a legal recruiter before joining the family business in 2014 as Vice President and General Counsel at Thermal Scientific.
Today as Co-CEO, Coby operates under the belief that culture is a key driver to the company’s success, empowering the Thermal Scientific teams to leverage strong internal bonds to build lasting relationships.
Coby lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters. They spend most of their free time traveling the world, entertaining friends and family, reading, and looking for new experiences to enjoy.
